Benefits to Campers

• A large choice of exceptional member-exclusive camping and glamping sites, in outstanding settings across west Wales, other parts of Wales and parts of England.
• A membership fee of just £12 (the membership year runs from 1st January to 31st December - membership automatically extends to the 31st December of the following year if you join on or after 1st September of the preceding year).
• Our ’Trees for Life’ scheme, whereby a tree is planted for every member enrolment. To date we have planted over 65,000 trees - almost 18,000 trees were planted by our campsites in 2023 and we expect to plant at least as many again in 2024. In this small way, our hope is that the trees go some way to off-setting some of the inevitable environmental impact of even the greenest of holidays. The trees are funded from the membership fee.
• Campsites where queues for the loo are a thing of the past. We have a strict quota system of loos/showers to pitches for all our campsites, so you’ll never be caught short again.
• A paper-free, digital membership enrolment process. Your campsite of choice will join you up at the point of booking - or you can join as a ‘direct member’. We don’t bombard you with magazines, special offers, or other marketing mishmash (although we will send you a few emails a year showcasing campsites that may be of interest to you). We’re fully focused on one thing - providing you with the very best in ‘green’ campsites.

And for Campsite Owners

The Greener Camping Club is authorised to 'certificate' campsites - which means landowners are able to operate their campsite lawfully, without recourse to planning permission, or a campsite licence (something that is often impossible to achieve in rural locations). Other than meeting our criteria, the only condition of certification is that all staying guests must be members of the Club.

The Greener Camping Club is the UK's leading environment-friendly camping organisation. The Club and its certificated sites adhere strictly to the Exempted Camping Legislation under the Paragraph 5 of the First Schedule of the Caravan Sites and Control Development Act 1960. The Club holds exemption certificates for both caravans and camping, issued by the Welsh Government and Natural England.
